Online Digital reading curriculum for grades K-8 for one-year license that will serve 2,000 students who attend state schools supported by the Illinois Tutoring Initiative.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) These grant funds were made available to purchase additional resources for literacy tutoring for students in grades 3-12.
