The University awarded a contract for Rave Mobile E-Lert System Software.
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville awarded a 3-year contract for Rave Mobile E-Lert System software to Rave Wireless, Inc., DBA Rave Mobile Safety.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for procurement expenditures for any ongoing software
license or maintenance agreement or competitively
solicited software purchase, when the software, license,
or maintenance agreement is available through only the
software creator or its manufacturer and not a reseller ( 30 ILCS 500/1-13 (b)(10)) Rave Mobile E-Lert System is currently being used by the University. The University Police Dept. decided on a 3-year agreement for cost savings.
