The University awarded a contract for Legal Services - Medical Malpractice.
University retains Counsel to represent and to serve as attorney for University in connection with Medical Malpractice Defense. The original Contract's term predated the requirement in the Procurement Code to post 1-10 exemptions as the original start date of this contract 10/1/2015. We are currently processing a change order to the contract.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for anticipated litigation, enforcement actions, or investigations.
