The University awarded a contract for Laerdal Medical's SimJunior mannequin .
Purchase of the SimJunior mannequin system along with the SimView Server. This equipment will be utilized for student Nursing training in conjunction with the other Laerdal mannequins already in the Nursing Lab. The funding source, HRSA has mandated the utilization of the Laerdal equipment in the grant system.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes in the procurement code because the procurement expenditures are for events or activities for which the use of specific vendors is mandated or identified by the sponsor of the event or activity, provided that the sponsor is providing a majority of the funding for the event or activity.
