The University awarded a contract for clinical testing and laboratory analyses.
Methodist Medical/Unity Point Health will provide clinical testing and laboratory analyses for our ILLInet-RECOVER study.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) This procurement will allow us to meet the research study deliverables. Our performance will be monitored and funds will be provided by the NIH based on our completion of tasks. This will enable us to have a testing site in Peoria so that clinical tests and labs may be completed there according to our contract.
