The University awarded a contract for a mobile intraoperative imaging system.
A mobile intraoperative imaging system that provides both 2D and 3D images of patient anatomy in the surgical field consisting of the O-Arm O2 Imaging System and the Stealth ENT Navigation System.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) Both the O-Arm and the StealthStation ENT systems will provide the hospital with the latest next generation platforms. The current O-Arm and Fusion ENT systems are at end of life and Medtronic cannot support the systems any longer. These are essential for the hospital to continue offering 3D intraoperative imaging and Stealth navigation technology for the spine, neurosurgery, and ENT patients.
