The University awarded a contract for educational summer programs in Italy.
Accademia Italiana will organize education summer programs for UIC students and faculty in Italy.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for placement of students in externships, practicums, field experiences, and for medical residencies and rotations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(6)) This UIC faculty-led program is specifically targeted to a particular location in Salerno, Italy.
