The University awarded a contract for a LOGIQ E10 Ultrasound Imaging System.
The LOGIQ E10 is GE's leadership ultrasound imaging system designed for abdominal, vascular, obstetric, gynecologic, neonatal, pediatric, urological, transcranial, cardiac and small parts applications.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) The medical equipment is state of the art and will allow the hospital's Ultrasound Department to provide the highest quality diagnostic imaging, so that our Radiologists may provide information in the diagnosis and treatment of our patients.
