Research services will be render to Optimizing Exposure of Natural Product ClpC1 Modulators for Use in Proof of Concept Efficacy Studies under the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) This research has the potential to facilitate the proof of principle experiments necessary to continue receiving NIH funding as part of our Center of Excellence for Translational Research (CETR) award as well as to translate a laboratory research finding into a clinical drug candidate.
