The University awarded a contract for analysis of research data.
Biostatistical analysis of research data - The vendor will conduct advanced multi-variable statistical analyses of national longitudinal data on outcomes, services and costs of integrated care for people with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and major depression.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) Conducting this research will put the University at the forefront of the field of psychiatric disability research. UIC will be one of the few institutions of higher education studying how to provide mental health care that is integrated with primary care.
