Language Line Service that offers in-person and video language translation services to ensure the well-being of our patients.

This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) UIC Division of Specialized Care for Children relies on Language Line's services for essential communication with program participants and families in their native languages, aligning with our mission of assisting Illinois families and communities. These services are critical for meeting contract requirements and providing care to children in our programs, playing a key role in fulfilling our mission.
