Originally issued in RFP 013 with hot fluid-applied asphalt waterproofing per UIUC request, RFP 013 is voided and the waterproofing scope is being reissued with cold fluid-applied waterproofing per CM request for quicker application times after concrete foundation pour.

This is a FIELD DIRECTIVE for a temporary reroute for North sanitary and storm utilities. Due to IEPA permit review length, it is no longer feasible to demolish the existing North sanitary and storm utilities prior to foundation installation. A temporary reroute of the utilities will occur south of the existing utility line locations and will be abandoned in place once the new service will be brought online during Thanksgiving. Abandoned utility lines to be filled with grout. Temporary utilities design will be provided by the prime contractor in coordination with the CM, and reviewed by the design team. WORK COMPLETION REQUIRED BY 10/05/2108.

Project Description
The Illinois Street Residence (ISR) Dining Hall Renovation project entails the demolition and renovation of approximately 75,239 SF of existing building and addition of new construction of approximately 41,452 SF. When complete, the entire facility will be approximately 116,691 SF. The new facility will provide dining for more than 1,300 customers in eleven (11) different food venues. The facility will also provide for meetings, conferences, group study, student recreation, innovation labs, counseling center, and a library. Both existing residence halls that flank the project, Wardall Hall and Townsend Hall, will remain occupied by students during the duration of construction. This Early Bid Package will include underground site utility work, electrical utility work, structural steel and concrete, demolition, abatement, architectural and MEP/FP fit-out of Townsend Basement.
A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting will be held in Room 107, Illinois Street Residence Hall, 1010 West Illinois Street, Urbana, Illinois 61801 on 01/03/18 at 10:00 AM prevailing time. All prospective bidders are REQUIRED to attend.
