Project Description
Replace the existing Air Handling Unit (AHU) above the open office area 2120 with a new RTU installed on the roof, in three phases (as shown on drawings). Provide new VAV boxes and zoning. Fire protection will include annunciation and detection connected to the existing Fire Alarm System. RTU will be supported with new structural steel that is based in the floor and extends through the structure to the RTU. General work includes work removing existing and reuse/reinstallation of existing suspended acoustical tile ceiling system to allow required MEP work above ceilings (as shown on drawings), as well as required flashing work at the new rooftop AHU. Contractor coordination with contractors for a second U of I CERL project, which is installing new roofing, is required.
