The University awarded a contract for UHV Sputtering Deposition System.
Orion 8 UHV sputtering system for the fabrication of thin film materials on various types of substrates. The system will be equipped with 7 targets capable to provide deposition of mainly magnetic materials under DC and RF conditions.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations.
