The data purchase will allow us to build a valuable dataset for Gies College of Business faculty, providing wide-ranging opportunities for research in a variety of areas, including household finance, fintech/big data analytics, banking, and entrepreneurship.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations.
