for a telecommunications call accounting system. Chicago State University is soliciting invitations for bids from qualified vendors to provide a comprehensive, enterprise-class call accounting system that is compatible with Nortel Meridian Option 81c/Succession 3.0 switchgear that supports IP Telephony. The system should be designed as a stand-alone unit that will enable Chicago State University to manage all of its internal charge back costs and provisioning services. These charges will include internal network usage-based local calls, inter-lata and intra-lata calls over the public telephone network, incoming DID calls, cellular calls from any location - plus non-usage based charges such as data communications port, Internet, calling card, and equipment costs (including unique and one-time charges).
In addition to replacing our current functionality, the new system should improve our ability to analyze, document, and manage our IT and telecommunication resources.
