Project Description
This project involves project design and monitoring services for asbestos removal from Douglas Hall, (formerly Douglas Library), third floor interior of approximately 56,000 square foot (gross) at Chicago State University. Project also includes removal/disposal of the existing ceiling, removal/salvage/relocation of existing light fixtures. Asbestos containing materials that will be removed could include spray on fireproofing, floor tile& mastic and pipe insulation and pipe joint compound. Future work, not included in this contract, includes demolishing, converting, altering and renovating the interior space and re-roofing which is anticipated immediately following this project. Note: Re-spray of fireproofing is to be done under scope of general contractor -Phase II work.
