Project Description
Austin AECOM, on behalf of the Chicago State University, requests that all trade contractors submit their qualifications and bid for the Phase 2 (Construction) of The Chicago State University Douglas Hall Renovation-Third Floor. The renovation/alteration of Douglas Hall third floor is a phased project consisting of the conversion and renovation of the approximately 56,000 sq ft third floor of Douglas Hall (formerly Douglas Library) into a College of Pharmacy facility and includes the demolition and renovation of the interior space, and upgrades to building mechanical and electrical systems. Phase 2, which consists of a 20,000 sq ft renovation of Douglas Hall?s 3rd floor into a College of Pharmacy facility. The following trade packages will be issued for bid under Phase 2: General Construction, Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical Piping, Mechanical HVAC.

Prequalification Trade Contractors are requested to submit their prequalification form on or before 10:00AM Tuesday, September 11, 2008. Please note that no bid will be accepted or reviewed without submission of a completed prequalification form. Pre-Bid Meeting There is a mandatory Pre Bid meeting for Phase 2 construction which will be held at Chicago State University (CSU) ? Douglas Hall 3rd Floor. 9501 S. King Drive, Chicago, IL on September 12, 2008 at 9:30AM. All prospective bidders are required to attend. All representatives must be in the room no later than 9:15am and must stay for the entire meeting and site visit. If the contractor is late or leaves before the completion, the contractor will not be considered attending the pre-bid conference. All questions must be emailed to chuck.minor@austin.aecom.com. Questions will be addressed in the form of an addendum and will be sent to all in attendance at the prebid meeting and plan houses. If contact of any kind occurs with any other representative, this will be grounds for disqualification
