Chicago State University invites Energy Service Providers (ESP’s) to submit proposals for natural gas and related services in accordance with the requirements, terms, and conditions of this Request for Proposal (RFP). This RFP sets forth the requirements for all services and solicits a detailed response from ESP’s to include service descriptions in the format specified in this document. Chicago State University’s current natural gas contract is set to expire on May 31, 2010. The university is soliciting bids for a twenty-five (25) month contract commencing on June 1, 2010 through June 30, 2012. With an option to renew for two (2) additional years.
PRE-BID VENDOR CONFRENCE There is a mandatory pre-bid meeting for the project which will be held at Chicago State University (CSU) – COOK Administration R317, 9501 S. King Drive, Chicago, IL on April 7, 2010 at 10:00AM. All prospective bidders are required to attend. All representatives must be in the room no later than 10:15am and must stay for the entire meeting and site visit. If the contractor is late or leaves before the completion, the contractor will not be considered attending the pre-bid conference. All questions must be emailed to e-mlakar2@csu.edu. Questions will be addressed in the form of an addendum and will be sent to all in attendance at the rebid meeting. If contact of any kind occurs with any other representative, this will be grounds for disqualification.

Submit 4 copies of the response as defined in the specifications. The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all responses or parts thereof. Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid documents. This procurement will be contingent on Board of Trustees approval. Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all proposals.

This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.
