Sound of Authority has proposed a system that meets all of the criteria that the university outlined in the RFP and provides us the most flexibility, range of coverage, and cost benefit long-term. The other two proposals only included a 16 channel mixer. Sound of Authority is providing a 48 channel mixer.
The buyer for this procurement is now Bernice

The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.
The due date for this bid is May 4, 2010 at 11:00 A.M.
This is for audio Equipment Providers, consultant services are not needed.

The Board of Trustees of Chicago State University is seeking an audio company, who specializes in consulting, design, and audio engineering; that will enhance the current systemâbringing the audio capabilities to a minimum concert level. Said company must have a competent design team approach which will enable it to work hand in hand with designated professionals that will install the most advanced audio systems for the new Emil and Patricia A. Jones Convocation Center.
There is a mandatory pre-bid meeting which will be held at Chicago State University, Emil and Patricia A. Jones Convocation Center
Room 101, 9501 S. King Drive, Chicago, IL on April 27, 2010 at 10:00AM. All prospective bidders are required to attend. All representatives must be in the room no later than 10:15am and must stay for the entire meeting and site visit. If the contractor is late or leaves before the completion of the meeting, the contractor will not be considered attending the pre-bid meeting.
