Chicago State University requests that trade contractors for Abatement/Selective Demolition submit their qualifications and bid for the preparation and renovation/alteration of Williams Science Center, Rooms 106-109.

The following trade packages will be issued for bid:

Demolition

Prequalification
Trade Contractors are requested to submit their prequalification form on or before 1:00pm Monday, May 02, 2011. Please note that no bid will be accepted or reviewed without submission of a completed prequalification form. Prequalification form is included in the Bid Package. Prequalification forms will be accepted at Chicago State University with and at the same location as the Bid Package.

Bid Document Sources
Bid documents have been prepared by the Architect/Engineer, Austin AECOM, 303 E. Wacker Drive, Suite 900, Chicago, IL 60601, 312-373-7700. The bid documents may be obtained from the Architect by contacting Eric Luchetta-Stendel at 1.312.373.7921. There is a refundable deposit of $50 required for each set of documents (No personal checks accepted). The deposit will be refunded upon return of a good condition usable set of documents to Austin AECOM.

Pre-Bid Meeting
There is a mandatory Pre Bid meeting/site visit which will be held at Chicago State University (CSU) – William Science Center Room 107, 9501 S. King Drive, Chicago, IL on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 9:00am. All prospective bidders are required to attend. All representatives must be in the room no later than 9:15am and must stay for the entire meeting and site visit. If the contractor is late or leaves before the completion, the contractor will not be considered attending the pre-bid meeting. Contractors are responsible for all information offered during this meeting. This is the only opportunity for any potential contractor or subcontractor to visit the site prior to bid. However, subcontractors are not required to attend. All questions must be emailed to eric.luchettastendel@aecom.com by April 22, 2011 at 3:00pm. Questions will be addressed in the form of an addendum and will be sent to all signed in attendance at the pre-bid meeting via email. If contact of any kind occurs with any other representative, this will be grounds for disqualification.

The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all responses or parts thereof. Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid documents. Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all proposals. This procurement will be contingent on Board of Trustees approval.
