Changes to the scope include the following: • Masonry dugouts added • Additional spectator seating • Sports field lighting added • Scoreboard upgraded • Additional access added These changes will require JJR to provide additional services to meet the change in scope.
This amendment corrects and replaces the amendment posted below on August 29, 2012.
The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.

Project Description
The Board of Trustees of Chicago State University, request submission of qualifications from interested architects and engineers to design Chicago State University’s baseball park. The project scope consists of field/fence, dugouts, batter’s cage, bullpen, and Announcer/Concession stand. Scope is to provide Architectural/Engineering Services for a comprehensive, fast track approach, (set to be completed September 30, 2011) to a new baseball park (single field),to be located on the southeast quadrant of the campus, in compliance with NCAA guidelines and standards. The estimated cost for the construction is anticipated not to exceed $425,000.00. The University will conduct a mandatory site visit at the existing baseball field on the SE section of the campus (near the convocation center) located at 9501 S King Drive, Chicago, IL, 60628; at 9:30am on Thursday, July 7, 2011. No one will be admitted after 9:45am, and if you are not in attendance you will be disqualified. Representatives of the University will be present to answer any questions regarding the services requested or proposal procedures. A maximum of three representatives from each firm may attend.

  • Submitted 7 copies of their qualifications.
  • Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
  • Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
  • Utilize an AutoCAD compatible system to provide documents.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).

This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.
