Request for Proposal: Disaster Recovery Plan
Change Order
Published Thursday December 18, 2014
Vendor: Sungard Availability Services
Change Order Amount: $86,414

Under the current customer-managed recovery plan, the University’s Information Technology (IT) staff is required to restore all of the critical systems using backup tapes at the Sungard Availability Wood Dale, Illinois center in the event of a disaster. Successful recovery is the responsibly of the University staff. The activity consists of retrieving and taking backed-up tapes (which offer the risk of tapes being damage, lost, or malfunctioning) from the U.S. Bank vault or from the campus to the center to be restored by the University IT staff. During the annual recovery testing operations this exercise was proved to be challenging, expensive, and labor intensive.
The State Purchasing Officer for this procurement is now Pamela Amoako.
The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.
