Thomas Sestak is the State Purchasing Officer for Eastern Illinois University. Change order is due to low estimate by EIU of hazardous materials needing to be removed in original bid. Actual amount of waste removal was much higher, thus the requesting increase of $71,206.36 change order which was based on original bid price. SWS Environmental Services was still low bid with the change order. See attached purchasing approval for original bid results and increased results.
The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.
