Project Description
GSU is seeking land surveying services related to its planned student housing development. The multi-phase development will be on a 40+/- acre parcel immediately west of the main campus road. The first phase comprises development of a 4-acre area plus utility infrastructure work and a pedestrian walkway to the academic buildings. The site abuts a delineated wetland area which will be included in the survey. The awarded Surveyor/firm will perform title/easement/utility research, perform a field survey, and prepare a topographic survey. Surveyor will prepare a boundary plat and legal description for the phase one parcel. At the conclusion of construction (Fall 2014) an ALTA/ACSM-compliant Land Title Survey will be prepared by Surveyor.
GSU may utilize these submittals and firms for smaller assignments during fiscal years 2012 and 2013, on an as-needed basis, subject to funding, and additional award (to this public solicitation), based on the initial submittal of qualifications.

All firms must provide a Capital Development Board (CDB) 255 Form listing only relevant experience. Only firms with experience on similar assignments will be considered. GSU requires CDB pre-qualified firms for all projects.
The submittal is to be clearly labeled and in a sealed envelope. Three complete paper copies, and one CD of all submittal documents are due before the date and time posted here.

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered:
- Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
- Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
- Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
- Utilize an AutoCAD compatible system to provide documents.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).
