Comments:

These contracts are awards to be used on an "as needed basis", as approved by the GSU Board of Trustees. There was no BEP requirement for this solicitation.

The State Purchasing Officer for this procurement is now Lee Saulter.

The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.

Project Description
This request is for the submission of qualifications by engineering firms to assess and design systems for specific projects, during the contract period on an "as needed basis". Firms may select from various areas of specialization, as defined in the specifications for potential award.

Letter Submission

Qualifications and supporting materials will be accepted at the address below until 2:00 PM, Friday October 26, 2012:

All firms must submit, at minimum:

a Capital Development Board (CDB) 255 standard form listing only relevant experience;
a Capital Development letter proving prequalification of the submitting office for the area of interest by the firm;
GSU requires CDB prequalified firms;
only firms with State of Illinois or Illinois Higher Education experience (similar work) will be considered; and
applicable projects must be itemized and references must be provided for each.

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered:

Submitted 2 copies of their qualifications.
Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
Utilize an AutoCAD compatible system to provide documents.

Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).

This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.

The State of Illinois has a policy to encourage prospective vendors to hire qualified veterans, minorities, females, persons with disabilities and ex-offenders.
