The Board of Trustees of Governors State University hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the a general contractor contract for D-Wing classrooms & offices project.
This project is soliciting bids from general contractors for the renovation of classrooms, offices, conference rooms and corridors in an existing facility.
Work will include, but may not be limited to: general construction, altering existing electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression/alarm, and telephone/data systems.
A Mandatory Pre-bid meeting is scheduled for: Thursday, July 8, 2004, 10:00 a.m., at which time drawings and project manuals will be available.
Final completion is required of all work by September 30, 2004.
Sealed envelopes containing the bids will be marked a general contractor contract for D-Wing classrooms & offices . Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Thursday, July 22, 2004. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All general contractors must register in advance for the mandatory meeting by calling Jan at 708-534-4056. Subcontractors are encouraged to attend. In order to receive drawings, specifications and manuals at this meeting, the firm must be registered prior to the close of business on July 7th.
