The NSF Laboratories project at GSU is a 5,200 SF renovation within Governors State University that will provide new biology research laboratories due to a federally funded research grant by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The project includes 11 new research laboratories as well as a common preparation lab.
Sealed bids will be accepted at the address below until 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 26, 2011:

The design of the NSF Laboratories utilizes current benchmarks for state-of-the-art research laboratory design, and incorporates entirely new mechanical, electrical, fire protection and security systems. The laboratories are organized in a private corner of F-Wing away from the teaching laboratories.
There will be a mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting for this project is being postponed. Specifications are not available. Both the new project schedule and the specifications will be issued once approved by the University.
All responses must include:
- Submit 5 copies of the response as defined in the specifications.
- Sealed envelopes containing the bids have the bid number and project title on the envelope.
- Bid security (see complete bid for details).
- A letter from a surety company in substantially the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders assuring the issuance of the performance and payment bonds.
This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.
