The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.

Project Description
This project includes re-roofing of the “D building". Work includes the removal of existing roof assembly, miscellaneous preparatory work, and installation of a new built-up roof. Roofing bidders are advised that the scope includes miscellaneous carpentry, architectural sheet metal, roof drain head replacement, and mechanical work to be provided by their subcontractors. The approximate roof area of the base bid is 42,000 square feet. And there is one alternate encompassing an additional 15,000 square feet, for potential award.

GSU will award all work specified in the bidding documents to one contracted firm.

A public bid opening will be held at 2:30PM CST on May 30, 2012.

MBE/FBE Contracting/subcontracting/supplier goals apply to this project.
GSU will hold a MANDATORY PRE-BID Meeting & site tour on Monday, May 14, 2012. To receive time, directions & to register, call Sue at 708-235-7445. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is required for all potential contractors bidding on the project.
Vendors must submit one UNBOUND original and two additional copies of all pricing, forms, and submittals required.
The Contractor (and subcontractors) must pay the prevailing wage currently in force in this area for all craft trades and workmen employed in the execution of this contract. A list of the current prevailing wages is published by the Department of Labor for Will County, Illinois.
All bidders must be prequalified by the Capital Development Board of Illinois (CDB) and must be a legal entity authorized to do business in Illinois prior to submitting the bid.
