Project Description
This project consists of the renovation of the existing servery/kitchen and portions of the dining room approximately 17,500 sf. Various portions of the work shall be assigned to contractors: general construction (including food service equipment), plumbing (including fire protection), and electrical work. The existing kitchen is approximately 7,300 sf, servery 2,700 sf, and dining is 7,500 sf. The area is located in the center of the main building on the first floor and circulation through the dining area will need to be maintained throughout the project. The project has an accelerated schedule to minimize downtime.

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting has been scheduled for September 13, 2019 to begin at 10:00am. (This pre-bid meeting is for both general and trade related work). Potential bidders are to call 708-235-7443 to register and receive directions. We encourage you to arrive at the GSU Procurement Office 15 minutes prior to the meeting. Only those bidders present for the mandatory meeting will be considered for award. Suppliers and subcontractors are welcome to attend, but not required to attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting.

All awarded vendors on this project must be prequalified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board or Illinois Department of Transportation by the applicable bid due date.

The Project Manual consists of multiple documents: D1910TMS, technical specifications and drawings. Each is downloadable attached to this bid invitation. All amendments which are posted to this bid notice are hereby incorporated into the project manual and requirements of the specification.
