for web technical consulting contract .

Governors State University (GSU) Information Technology Services (ITS), seeks a consultant for technical Web services to meet project needs.

Project Overview: GSU operates a web site at www.govst.edu, which is currently being renovated. The renovation project will standardize tools, processes, and production to provide structure and security for the Webmaster and campus employees who help maintain the site.

The awarded vendor will be contracted on an as needed basis. The "top to bottom" rebuild of the web site incorporates, but is not limited to, the following: configuration of the web server, DNS entry modifications, file structure and content ported from the old to the new site, page design and templates (provided by a separately contracted marketing firm), style sheets, templates, "include" files, and database integration.

Vendors submitting on this project MUST BE within a two hour drive to the campus. GSU prefers the majority of the work to be done on campus, under the direction of the Executive Director of ITS, or his designee.

This is NOT a marketing or creative RFP. It is a technical web/computer related service contract request, to be utilized as needed by the university.

A MANDATORY PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE is scheduled for July 31, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. in the purchasing office. All venodrs wishing to submit proposals must attend. Specifications will ONLY be distributed at this meeting. To register for this meeting, call Rhonda Jackson (708) 534-4056. (Submitted by John Tuohy, State Purchasing Officer.)
