This bid is for a DNA analysis system for teaching and research in the biological sciences division.
This DNA sequencer is to be specified and built for student use (not high output sequencing) and allows for manual or automatic reading of sequence. GSU is interested in a model that is designed to hibernate and be ready for use by students.
GSU also requires any training, maintenance and upgrade potential costs with the vendors proposals.
Minimal requirements are listed in the specifications that will be available for download on Friday morning, September 16, 2005.
Cost is a primary factor in this potential project. GSU is aware of strategic pricing options, or "matching grants" which may reduce the cost of ownership. If this program exists, vendors are required to submit applications, deadlines, etc with the sealed proposal. Evaluation criteria are clearly defined in the specification.
No vendor is to make contact with any Science faculty or staff during a competitive process. All vendor contact must be directed to the Procurement Office, else a vendor will be disqualified.
The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts thereof. Bidding documents may be obtained by contacting the Purchasing Office.Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all bid proposals.
