Governors State University (GSU) wishes to evaluate proposals from firms who have conducted market research for higher education; experience working with higher education in the Chicago area and in Illinois is desirable.
Responding vendors must understand the strategic initiatives of the university, particularly as they apply to GSU's plans to expand online and web-based course offerings.
The awarded firm will be responsible (at a minimum) for identifying prospective non-traditional students, identifying competitive threats, identifying obstacles to enrollment, recommending enrollment strategies, and determining public perceptions toward GSU and its specific programs of study.
Vendors must not only have demonstrated experience in the traditional methods of market research, but also have familiarity with techniques that include the use of the web for market research purposes and experience with geo-mapping.
The contract will be for an initial 3-year period with one additional 3-year option to renew at the discretion of the university.
