This project will include renovation of a multi-department office area (2,265 square feet) and a cashier's office (715 square feet). Demolition of existing carpet, ceiling fixtures, walls, and furniture will be required. Construction of the future offices will be completed with new walls, doors, hardware, millwork, ceiling fixtures, lighting, electric, and finishes. The transaction area of the cashier's office will include a custom piece millwork to accommodate various equipment, bullet-resistant glass, and decorative metal.

The space to be renovated is currently occupied and will need to remain in operation throughout the construction process.

Mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference
The University will hold a mandatory pre-bid conference on May 3,
2007. Representatives will be present to answer questions. Prospective bidders must register by calling Lori at 708-534-4056. Bids submitted by general contractors not in attendance at the mandatory conference will not be accepted.

All responses must include:
- Submit 3 copies of the response as defined in the specifications.
- Sealed envelopes containing the bids have the bid number and project title on the envelope.
- Bid security (see complete bid for details).
- A letter from a surety company in substantially the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders assuring the issuance of the performance and payment bonds.
