The Wind Turbine manufacturer intended has ceased production. As approved by the University Board of Trustees in March 2011, the new change order amount is required to acquire and install the wind turbine. The University has received grants to fully fund this additional contract, in the amount not to exceed $546,452.


This change order corrects and replaces the change order posted below on April 2, 2010.
The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.

This is additional work. A section of the initial specified project was not funded, and therefore not contracted. The University was recently awarded external grants for the wind turbine project, thus the work will be contracted, subject to approval of the University's Board of Trustees.

This is a two phase project. Phase I is an energy audit and Phase II will be an energy performance contract. Phase I is at no cost to the university if the energy performance contract is awarded to ESG. If the contract is not awarded to ESG, the cost is estimated to be a not to exceed amount of $50,000.

The above is in accordance with the Higher Education Public University Energy Conservation Act (100 ILCS 62) and is subject to the approval of the University Board of Trustees.

The Board of Trustees of GSU is seeking proposals from qualified Energy Services Companies (ESCos) to propose energy conservation measures through a guaranteed energy savings contract: which are capable of providing comprehensive energy management and utility related capital improvement services.
There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting for all potential bidders the morning of Tuesday August 5, 2008.
Specifications will only be distributed at the mandatory pre-bid meeting. Vendors must call Lisa at 708-534-4056 to register in advance of that date.
This is potentially multiple phased project, consist with the Higher Education Public University Energy Conservation Act (100-ILCS62).

Submit 6 copies of the response as defined in the specifications. The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all responses or parts thereof. This procurement will be contingent on Board of Trustees approval. Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all proposals.

This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.
