The University awarded a contract for Balfour Yearbooks FY14 production/printing.
Production/printing of 200 page student yearbooks (Gallimaufry) and 24 page supplements.
All costs are paid for in advance by the students/parents. This procurement is a co-curricular activity through the Yearbook Club at IMSA. The yearbook club handles the production of the student yearbooks which are printed by Balfour Yearbooks. The students/parents pay for the yearbook(s) and the money is deposited in a Student Activities Yearbook Club account. The student club/group is in control of these funds. IMSA serves in a fiduciary capacity, depositing funds and fulfilling check requests. No state funds are utilized for this procurement.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes in the procurement code because the procurement expenditures are for events or activities paid for exclusively by revenues generated by the event or activity, gifts, or donations for the event or activity, private grants, or any combination thereof. All costs are paid for in advance by the students/parents. This procurement is a co-curricular activity through the Yearbook Club at IMSA.
