for web content management system.
IMSA is looking for a tool to help with the content management for our internal and external websites. The solution must meet the following minimum technical requirements: A. The server side of the system must run on Linux. Preferred distributions include Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS 2.1 and 3.0, and Fedora Core 1 or 2.B. Provided the system supports a database back-end, the system must support an Oracle database (Oracle 9i Release 2 is a minimum requirement; systems supporting Oracle 10g will be considered).C. LDAP-based authentication and group management must be supported by the system. Furthermore, the system must be able to integrate with an existing remote LDAP database.D. The system must support deployment of content to an Apache web server, also running on Linux.E. Any client software must be able to run on both Windows and MacOS desktop platforms.F. The system must have the ability to employ secure methods of asset deployment to the web server (e.g., via SFTP or SCP: simple FTP is not acceptable, as we do not run FTP servers).G. The system must be able to work with and leverage existing website code that has been written in PHP to facilitate presentation/content-layer separation.
