This notice is published in accordance with 30 ILCS 500/25-15(b) or 44 ILL. Admin. Code 4.1525. Not Applicable
The Illinois Secretary of State's Office is extending a general notice for the availability of 2 grants. This is NOT a purchasing request. The 2 grants being offered are as follows: Assisting Immigrant Communities in Navigating Government Services 19SL148000 Pursuant to authority granted by Sections 355 of Public Act 100-586, the Office of the Secretary of State (SOS) shall award the sum of $2,500,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, for grants to community providers statewide to assist immigrant communities in navigating government services. Based on this authority, the SOS is requesting proposals from responsible parties to address these needs. If interested and able to meet the requirements set forth in this RFGP, the SOS appreciates and welcomes all responses. Census Participation 19SL128000 Pursuant to authority granted by Sections 345 of Public Act 100-586, the Office of the Secretary of State (SOS) shall award the sum of $1,500,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, for grants to community providers statewide to encourage census participation. Based on this authority, the SOS is requesting proposals from responsible parties to address these needs. If interested and able to meet the requirements set forth in this RFGP, the SOS appreciates and welcomes all responses. These 2 grant applications are due by March 13, 2019 at 5:00 PM CST. All rules, guidelines, Q and A's and applications are attached below.
