Project Description
Replacement of the electrical substation located at the University High School main campus. Included in the work will be the replacement of the service entrance from manhole to transformer, replacement of the main electrical switch, and replacement of 1 to 4 panels and feeders.
Sealed bids will be accepted at the address below until 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 19, 2012:
November 29, 2012 at 10:00 AM Local Time at ISU Purchasing Office, Uptown Crossing, 100 South Fell Avenue, Suite D, Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois. THIS IS A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING. If you are planning to submit a prime bid for this project, you must attend this meeting and your company's name must appear on the official attendance log. This log will be used in the bid opening process, and if your company's name does not appear on the log, you bid will not be opened.
REGISTRATION IN A U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR APPROVED APPRENTICESHIP & TRAINING PROGRAM IS REQUIRED ON PUBLIC WORKS BY PROCUREMENT CODE (30 ILCS 500/30-22). Illinois State University requests that you submit a Certificate of Registration in an approved Apprenticeship and Training Program issued by the Office of Apprenticeship Training, Employer and Labor Services, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, with your bid.
PORTIONS OF THIS WORK TAKE PLACE ON K-12 SCHOOL PROPERTY. To enter a contract with Illinois State University, a background check affidavit must be completed. This affidavit must be in the form found on page 32 of the file "CC10231biddocuments". Illinois State University requests that you submit this with your bid.
All responses must include:
- Submit 1 copies of the response as defined in the specifications.
- Sealed envelopes containing the bids have the bid number and project title on the envelope.
