Project Description
Scope of work includes renovation of the existing plaza that is bordered on the north by Degarmo Hall, the east by Fell Hall, south by McCormick Hall parking and west by University Street. The work includes the removal of a majority of sidewalks in this area, the existing concrete ramp leading up to Degarmo Hall plaza and a section of the existing Degarmo Hall plaza retaining wall. Work also includes the removal of existing light poles, bike racks, signage and limited tree removal and tree protection. New work includes new concrete sidewalks to align with existing. A new concrete ramp from the plaza leading up to the existing Degarmo Hall plaza and a new stair where the existing concrete ramp was removed will be installed. New light poles connected to the existing power in the plaza and new exterior grade duplex receptacles, located on the back of the new masonry wall are part of the work. The central plaza area will have a new patterned brick paver layout and the plaza will have new bicycle racks to the north. The revised plaza will have new plantings, including trees, shrubs and lawn areas. New work will also require reinstalling existing parking signs that were removed during the site removal process. The west edge of the plaza will have a new curved masonry wall and decorative wood seating mounted to the wall.
