The Board of Trustees of Illinois State University hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the fire alarm replacement at Horton, BSC, and Warehouse Rd project.
This project includes the removal and replacement of the existing zoned alarm system with a new addressable fire alarm system for the warehouse located on Warehouse Rd. The Horton Fieldhouse and BSC systems include the removal and replacement of the existing zoned fire alarm system with a new addressable fire alarm system with voice notification and a Voice Command Center. There are two alternate bids for this project.
Bidding documents may be obtained at CBT Companies Inc. of Illinois, 4400 44th Avenue, Moline, Illinois 61265, PH: 309.797.4949 or Fax: 309.797.4999. A refundable plan deposit of $100 is required. The Central Illinois Builders "Request for Plans: Non-Cash Security Card is acceptable in lieu of a plan deposit check. This includes Master Builders of Iowa "Request for Plans" Non-Cash Security Card. The CIB/MBI "Request for Plans" Card guarantees deposit payment to KJWW if the plans and specfications are not returned in good condition within 10 days from the bid opening.
Sealed envelopes containing the bids will be marked fire alarm replacement at Horton, BSC, and Warehouse Rd. Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Tuesday, March 16, 2004. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 3, 2004, 10:00 AM local time in the conference room at Facilities Planning, 608 S. Main St., Normal, IL. If your company intends to submit a prime bid on this project, then your company must attend the pre-bid meeting and your company name must appear on the official attendance log. The log will be used in the bid opening process. If your company name does not appear on the log, your bid will not be opened.
