The Board of Trustees of Illinois State University (ISU) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) seeking information from providers of communications / management software to be used during emergencies. The University currently uses a free instant messaging system called Pidgin hosted by ISU. The main purpose of this software is providing a platform for reliable communication and information sharing among campus emergency management groups and individuals during an emergency. However, we are also looking for features to augment communications, such as a document library and records management.
