The University awarded a contract for a Blackboard Learning System license to Blackboard, Inc., Washington, DC, for $44,900.
This purchase is only economically available from a single source because the
compatibility of equipment, accessories, replacement parts, or service is a paramount consideration.
Blackboard Learning System is the course management system software currently used by University instructors to augment and administer thousands of courses. It is used for grading, administering tests and quizzes, delivering required course materials and much more. It is in the best interest of the University to continue to use the Blackboard Learning System, and Blackboard is the only source for this license.
