The Board of Trustees of Illinois State University (ISU) is seeking 403(b) investment firms to provide employees with a broad spectrum of investment alternatives for their supplemental retirement monies. Approximately 25% of ISU's benefits eligible population (3,151) currently participates in a 403(b) program. ISU will rely on the individual investment firms and their representatives to explain the advantages and disadvantages of investing for retirement with a 403(b) investment vehicle. Investment companies will be expected to work closely with ISU's 403(b0 third party administrator and common remitter. To insure a broad range of investment options for the ISU employees, it is the intent of ISU to award contracts to multiple investment companies.
