The Board of Trustees of Illinois State University hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the structural repairs to Whitten Residence Hall project (Bid # LB03290100).

The project consists of replacement of exterior window-wall and masonry work, and repair of collateral construction at Whitten Residence Hall. The bidding documents may be obtained from Mills/Sweeney Architects, 108 W. Monroe St, Bloomington, IL 61702. There is a $25 plan deposit. The bidding documents are available for inspection at the Office of Facilities Planning, Illinois State University; Greater Peoria Contractors and Suppliers Association, 1811 W. Altorfer Dr., Peoria, IL; F. W. Dodge Plan Room, 421 S. Grand Ave. W., Suite 1B East, Springfield, IL; McLean and Livingston County Construction Council, Inc., 1801 W. Hovey, Suite C, Normal, IL; and are on DODGE /SCAN service.

Sealed envelopes containing the bids will be marked structural repairs to Whitten Residence Hall. Bids will be received up to the hour of 11:00 AM local time, on Thursday, March 29, 2001. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

  • Bid security (see complete bid for details)
  • A letter from a surety company in substantially the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders assuring the issuance of the Performance and Payment Bond.
  • All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 22, 2001, 10:00 AM, at the Site,(Whitten Hall), Illinois State University.
