The Board of Trustees of Illinois State University hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the The Parrot's Echo Facade Renovation-Vrooman Dining Hall project.
The project consists of renovation at the entrance to The Parrot's Echo in the Vrooman Dining Center. The work includes selective demolition of existing walks, ramp, and door. The new work includes new concrete walks, ramp, doors, aluminum framing, handrails, awnings and exterior light fixtures.

Bidding documents may be obtained at Francois Associates Architects, 118 W. Washington, Bloomington, IL 61701 beginning Monday, April 23, 2001. Prospective bidders for the General Work may obtain four sets of bidding documents. Electrical subcontractors bidding the project may obtain one set of bidding documents. These bidding documents may be obtained by calling Francois Associates Architects at (309) 828-4055 to make arrangements for pick-up of plans and depositing $25.00 with the Architect for each set of bidding documents. The amount of all deposits will be refunded to the contractors upon return of the Bidding Documents in good condition within ten days after the opening of bids. Members of Central Illinois Builders of AGC may substitute the CIB Request for Plans Card which shall guarantee the deposit by CIB.

The completion date for this project is September 14, 2001.
Sealed envelopes containing the bids will be marked The Parrot's Echo Facade Renovation-Vrooman Dining Hall . Bids will be received up to the hour of 11:00 AM local time, on Tuesday, May 15, 2001. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be Monday, April 30, 2001, 1:30 PM at The Parrot's Echo located in Vrooman Dining Center, Illinois State University, Normal, IL. This is a mandatory pre-bid meeting. If your are planning to submit a prime bid for this project, you must attend this meeting and your company's name must appear on the official attendance log. If your company's name does not appear on the log, your bid will not be opened.
