The Board of Trustees of Illinois State University hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Schroeder Hall occupant relocation project (Bid # LB1025).

Prime bids are being requested from general, plumbing, heating, ventilating and electrical contractors. This project includes construction of new office space,and new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing to the renovations to Ropp Agriculture Building. Also in the project is construction of new office space and extension of the electrical and mechanical systems to the 4th and 5th floors of Milner Library. Completion date for this project is May 9, 2003.

Bidding documents may be obtained from BLDD Architects, Inc., 115 W. Jefferson Street, Suite 103, Bloomington, IL, 61701, Phone 309.828.5025. A $100 deposit is required. A maximum of three sets per plan holder will be issued.

Sealed envelopes containing the bids will be marked Schroeder Hall occupant relocation . Bids will be received up to the hour of 11:00 AM local time, on Friday, October 25, 2002. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

  • Bid security (see complete bid for details)
  • A letter from a surety company in substantially the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders assuring the issuance of the Performance and Payment Bond.
  • All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 15, 2002, 1:00 PM local time at Turner Hall, Room 200, Illinois State University. If you are planning to submit a prime bid for this project, you must attend this meeting and your company''s name must appear on the official attendance log. This log will be used in the bid opening process. If your company name does not appear on the log, your bid will not be opened.
