Illinois State University will enter an agreement to become a member of the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity to gain access to a professional development, training, and mentoring platform for graduate students, post-docs and faculty members. This institutional membership also includes faculty success programs, on-campus workshops, and more.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for membership in professional, academic, research, or athletic organizations on behalf of a public institution of higher education, an employee of a public institution of higher education, or a student at a public institution of higher education. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(1)) The Office of the Provost desires membership to promote professional development at Illinois State University.
