Illinois State University is seeking statements of qualifications from asbestos abatement firms interested in providing design and project oversight services for the abatement of the South Campus Residence Hall Complex prior to its planned demolition. Construction of South Campus was completed in 1962 and is a concrete structure with an aluminum curtain wall. The towers (two sets of two towers with a connecting link) consist of a full basement with nine stories of residence floors and an equipment penthouse. A one story dining center with a full basement and a sub-basement completes the complex. The total size of the complex is approximately 500,000 square feet. Qualifications should indicate the capabilities of designing and managing the abatement of a complex of this size. The building contains a variety of asbestos containing materials. A budget for this project has not been established.

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered:
- Submitted 2 copies of their qualifications.
- Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
- Utilize an AutoCAD compatible system to provide documents.
- There is no BEP goal for this procurement.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).
This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.
