Project Description
Stroud Auditorium Abatement, Project Oversight and Air Sampling - Illinois State University is seeking statements of qualifications from Environmental Consultants interested in providing project oversight and air sampling services for a planned asbestos abatement of Stroud Auditorium at University High School. Stroud Auditorium is a 900-seat theater space serving University High School. University High School, was constructed in 1965, as a classroom building and contains 134,600 gross square feet. The building contains 3 floors. The building is currently used as a classroom building and is located on Gregory Street in Normal, IL. The Environmental Consultant will oversee an abatement activity which will remove spray on fireproofing from structural steel above the auditorium ceiling, as well as, pipe and fitting cover in the same space and co-mingled storage and mechanical spaces. Activities will also include removal and disposal of the ceiling materials in Stroud as asbestos contaminated waste. Scaffolding for access to the materials will be provided and erected by others.

Any firm or individual who wishes to submit their qualifications in response to this solicitation must submit the State Board of Elections (SBE) certificate and complete and submit the Illinois Public Higher Education Cooperative (IPHEC) certification (attached). If you do not submit the SBE certificate (if required) and the completed IPHEC certification, your qualifications cannot be accepted by the University. Please refer to Public Act 95-971, which is available at http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/publicacts/fulltext.asp?Name=095-0971&GA=095, and the SBE website (www.elections.il.gov) for more specific information on whether you are required to register. Information on how to complete and submit copies of the IPHEC certification is available at the Illinois Public Higher Education Procurement Bulletin website (http://www.procure.stateuniv.state.il.us ). A copy of the IPHEC certification is attached at the end of this solicitation.
Your statement of qualifications must include the information requested above, the information included on the CDB 255 form, and any other information about your firm that you would like to include pertaining to this project. A copy of your CDB pre-qualification confirming your registration, the certificate from the State Board of Elections and a copy of your IPHEC certification must be included in your response. Three copies of your statement of qualifications must be sent to Robyn Schuline, 117 Hovey Hall, 1220 Purchasing Office, Normal IL 61790-1220. Statements of Qualifications are due February 27, 2009, at 2:00 PM local time.
